CURRENT PROGRAMS

A strong relationship between horse and human begins on the ground. Before ever getting in the saddle, riders must learn about animal behavior, handling, grooming, and tack.

Understanding these fundamentals fosters confidence, patience, and responsibility—qualities essential for a foundation of trust and respect.

SPHF horsemanship is based on US Pony Club curriculum and is designed to prepare participants to safely engage with horses and develop a sense of stewardship and connection that extends beyond the barn.

Riding Lessons

*IN DEVELOPMENT* Our mission is to shape a future where equine activities thrive. Through partnerships with equestrian centers and sports programs, we connect graduates of Horsemanship and Beginner Rider Programs with new opportunities to advance.

Where appropriate, the Rising Riders may provide need-based support so financial limitations do not prevent passionate riders from pursuing their dreams.

By breaking financial barriers, we help create a more inclusive and accessible equestrian community where talent and dedication—not income—determine participation.

  • Therapeutic Riding for individuals with physical differences, neurodivergence, and mental health challenges.

  • Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) to support individuals with PTSD, trauma, and emotional regulation needs.

  • Hippotherapy, a clinical therapy utilizing horse movement to improve mobility, strength, and physical function for individuals with conditions such as cerebral palsy and traumatic brain injuries.

  • Specialized Programs for veterans, at-risk youth, seniors, and individuals with cognitive and physical disabilities.

  • Community Engagement Events to introduce the general public to the healing power of horses and the joys of equestrian sports.

*If you are a practitioner of any of the above programs or services, please contact us to explore opportunities to join our mission.

OUR VISION

We envision a future where equestrian activities are accessible to everyone—where horses become a bridge to healing, growth, and joy.

Together we can make it a reality.
